My little man is standing all by himself and he practices quite often. He also says the sounds that these animals make: cow, dog, duck, sheep, monkey, & snake. He says no-no, night-night, bye-bye, mama, dada, eezzz (cheese), cackaaa (cracker), bah (bath), bo-bo (bottle), bwee (peek-a-boo). He is constantly pointing a lights so I had been saying llllight, so he watched my tongue and now he puts his tongue on his teeth and says nnnnni for light. I already have to watch what I say. I said the sh** word once when he slapped a bowl of food out of my hand and he said shhhh. No more saying that word for this Momma. He is a trip and a handful!!!

Look Momma, NO HANDS!!!
I had Christmas pictures scheduled for Dominick so we could have Christmas cards made but he's still a little sick so I decided to take them myself. I used painters tape and taped a sheet to the wall and got some props.
Look at my little man standing all by himself. I can't imagine him walking! YIKES!!!

Here is the Christmas card I created with Kodak's web site and they will mail it to me. I had to scan a copy of it so that's why it isn't very clear. It says:

Wishing you Jesus's Peace, Joy and Love!

Feliz Navidad!

(Merry Christmas)

Love,

BLACK FRIDAY

A few of you asked about my shopping on Black Friday. It is a tradition that my mom and I ALWAYS go shopping together the day after Thanksgiving. I decided to leave Dominick home with his Dada (Jon) since he's been having a cold. Jon had NEVER changed a diaper before (yes you heard that right, NEVER), so I taught him how to change a pee-pee diaper that morning and waited until after Dominick had a poo-poo diaper before I left because Dada said he could NOT change a poo-poo diaper. So then we left and shopped for a few hours. We then went home and decided we'd do more shopping later that evening. Well, when we got home Dada was severely traumatized because Dominick had another poo-poo diaper and Dada had to change it! Too funny!!! He was really traumatized and is scared to ever be left with Dominick again. Well, when we got home from shopping Dominick was wheezing so I called the doctor and he said I needed to take him to a late night clinic because it would only get worse in the night. So much for our shopping plans, instead we spent the next 4-5 hours at a clinic having X-rays, RSV tests, and breathing treatments. Dominick is OK, it was just bronciolitus and the ear infection he's been having for 2 weeks. He is now on antibiotics, steroids, and breathing treatments. Yuck!

Proud Momma!

Our Happy Family on Thanksgiving Day!

My mother-in-law (Jon's mom) had a corsage made for Dominick and me for our first Thanksgiving together. Dominick instantly started eating the flowers off of his, so he didn't wear it for long.

My corsage

Hello Puppies, I'm sorry Momma locked you behind this gate. If you wouldn't beg everyone for their food she would let you come sit with us.

Momma, I feel sorry for the puppies. They look sad behind this gate.

OUR PICTURES ARE IN

Dominick's pictures finally came in. He wore 4 different outfits and they took at least 10 shots in each because my angel was being somewhat uncooperative. He refused to stand up, continued to crawl off the spot we sat him in, and when they held up anything to try to make him smile, he would point at it. It took FOREVER! But these came out great and here they are.

This is one of my favorites. This is the first outfit we ever bought for Dominick the week we got his referral. Jon picked it out and I thought it was so sweet that he was already wanting to buy him clothes.

This is my least favorite, but still cute. I like the little bear. This is the one and only picture he was not chewing on the blocks.
This is my favorite. He's wearing a Guatemalan hat, holding a Guatemalan boy doll, and sitting on a hand made blanket from Guatemala.

We took this picture because we have the same picture of my niece sitting in a pail like this. So now my parents have a picture like this of both of their grand babies.

By the way, our Thanksgiving Day was great. Nothing big, but really nice. Now I need to get myself to bed so I can get up bright and early for Black Friday shopping...WOOO-HOOO!!! I don't know how much fun it will be because I'm leaving my little man at home with his Dada and Paw Paw for a few hours and I've never left him before. I do NOT like being away from my angel and he does NOT like being away from his Momma. I know he'll be fine, I just don't like being away from him AT ALL.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Boy do I have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving!!!

I've been busy, busy, busy cleaning the house and starting my cooking for Turkey day tomorrow. My parents and 2 brothers will be staying with us Thur.-Sun. and we are so excited!

Here's my little man with his new hair cut and turkey bib saying "Eessss" for cheese.

Okay, let me explain, it is a very, very rare occasion that you'll catch me cooking, but when I do, it sure is good. Even though I don't cook often, I do know how to cook. Here are some of the ingredients for my Rice Dressing. But the most important one is...Richard's Cajun Style Dressing Mix
Yummm, this is smelling so good. I cook it a day early so I can let it simmer a whole day and it taste better the next day after all the seasoning has soaked in. I don't add the rice until right before it's time to eat.

My little man played in his Exer Saucer (and screamed) while Momma cooked.

Haircut Time!!!

Momma had enouph of the shaggy look and of people saying "She's so cute" about Dominick. I wanted his first hair cut to be in a salon but Dominick has a little cold and Jon refuses to let me take him out of the house and I wanted it cut before Thanksgiving.

Dominick showing off his Christmas PJ's and slippers.
(This was the hair do before the haircut.)

This is how Dominick fell asleep for his nap again today. When I put him in the bed he is sitting up playing and he does this little position on his own.

Okay, I guess this is one of the strange things first time parents do. We bought Dominick this little bat & ball set for his birthday (Dec.31) but we just had to open it up and see what he'd do with it. He seemed to think it was pretty cool. Then when he went to bed, we put it back in the box and saved it for his birthday. Silly parents! (notice Mickey and Gizmo, they just had to come check out the new toy too)

He' s Sleeping So Well!!!!!

Dominick has been sleeping through the night for several weeks now, which is so awesome. I put him in his bed awake at 8:00 PM and he wakes up between 6:30-7:30 AM. It is so awesome, he doesn't even cry when I put him to bed at night. He has this Fluttter-Bye thing on his crib that projects a light show on the ceiling and he LOVES it. I put him to bed with a bottle and in 10 minutes his bottle is finished and he's asleep. I then take the bottle out after he falls asleep. The other thing that is so adorable is that he has this big, soft Winnie-the-Pooh bear in his crib and he wraps his arms around it and lays his head on it like a pillow. It is the cutest, sweetest thing!!! He sleeps like that ALL throughout the night and wakes up like that in the morning. He also sleeps like that for his naps. He has been taking 2 naps a day. I do the same thing, put him to bed awake with a bottle and he watches his Flutter-Bye thingy. He usually plays for 30 minutes and then sleeps for 30 minutes, so I get 2 one hour breaks a day and Dominick is much, much more rested. It is amazing how well the advice from those sleep books work. I never thought Dominick would be a good sleeper.

One of my students bought this bear for Dominick and he loves it! This is how I find him sleeping every morning.
My little man needs a hair cut really bad but Mommy isn't ready to cut it yet so I found a solution. I wet his hair in the morning and put gel in it to keep it out of his eyes and over his ears. What a cutie-pie!!! Those eyes melt my heart.
You can see how long his bangs are here. And his hair goes over his ears.
Here's Dominick trying to bond with his sippy cup. He doesn't like drinking out of it too much so we are working on that.

Here's my handsome man with his hair all gelled wearing his new coat that his Granny bought for him.

Oh how precious, I will never stop thanking Jesus for this awesome gift he has given us.

Uummm, my black Puma shoes do not match this coat Momma. Do you think my Dada can take me to the mall and buy me those brown Puma shoes??? That would match perfect! Maybe I'll let him hold me tonight without fussing and then we can ask him for the brown puma's. Yeah, that sounds like a good plan.

I'VE BEEN TAGGED!!!

I am honored to say that I have been tagged my my fello blogger friend Holly. Which means that I have to tag 3 other bloggers and tell you everything that is in my handbag.
These are the people I'm tagging. Sorry if you've already been tagged but most of the bloggers I know are already taken.
Steph-Amelia's Mommy

I carry a small purse and a diaper bag. Here are pictures.

Here is my purse which I bought in Guatemala and the little medal emblem in the middle says "Guatemala". Here is the JUNK I have in my purse which I never use but have to carry it just in case. Top to bottom, left to right is:

wallet, planner, envelope with money from my shower, scrunchie, hair clip, chap stick, lighter, teeth flossers, and matches.

key chain, pictures, powder, 2 lipsticks, lip gloss, nail file, sweet breath, Wal-Mart picture receipt, coupon, Excedrin, Advils, 3 pens, and gum.

Here is my designer diaper bag by Caden Lane that my "Sometimes-Sweet Husband" bought me for a gift.

Top to bottom, left to right is:

5 diapers and disposable changing pad, wipes, dirty diaper bags, ziplock bag, container of Cheerios, clean bowl with lid, feeding bib and 2 spoons.

2 cheap toys (in case we lose them), hand wipes, hand sanitizer, comb, gum, papers from the doctor.

And that's it, I also always carry at least 2 bottles pre-filled with distilled water and a formula dispenser filled up, but I stick that in there before we leave so it's fresh.

Baby Feeding Doggie

We have two fur-babies, Mickey and Gizmo, and they both like to eat. But Mickey acts as if he is starved allll the time and is always begging for food. Both dogs seem to really love Dominick, but Mickey especially loves all the food Dominick throws from his high chair for him to eat. Today I gave Dominick a cup of Cheerios that he was throwing all over the floor and Mickey was loooooving running around to catch the Cheerios.

Oh, these Cheerios taste so good. But it's even more fun to throw them all over the floor.

Hey Mickey, want me to throw some Cheerios for you to chase???

Hee Hee, you're tickling my toes!!!

Uuummm, why is your head between my legs???

Ha, ha, ha, you crack me up Mickey!

Momma, I loooove Mickey!!! He's my buddy!

I love being a Mommy!!!

I am LOVING being a Mommy. It is even better than I had imagined it would be. Dominick does something at least once a day that makes me laugh until my stomach muscles hurt. He is just so precious, I could eat him up. I signed him up to begin daycare in January when I must return to work and I am so dreading leaving him. It is going to be really, really hard on me. We left him in the nursery at church for 1.5 hours for the first time this weekend and I was itching to go see about him the whole time. I sooooo wish I didn't have to go back to work. But on the other hand, I feel very grateful and fortunate that I at least have these few months to be home with him and all the holidays and summers since I'm a school teacher.
Speaking of church, I can't describe the feelings I have in church to be able to praise God for bringing our baby home. I remember all those times I went to church and sang songs and begged God to bring our baby home, and it feels so awesome to sing those same songs but this time instead of asking God to bring Dominick home, I am thanking him for answering my prayers. It feels unreal but so good!!!
We took a day trip to visit Dominick's other grandparents, as well as Jon's cousin and aunt and uncle this weekend and had a really nice day.
Here is Dominick with his Pop.

Dominick with his Pop and Hunnie.

Handsome Man (who needs a haircut)!!!!

I'm the only picture-taker in this family so it is rare that I get any pictures of myself with Dominick.

HE'S TAKING A NAP!!!

Yeah, you read that right, Dominick is taking a nap as I type this. I just got off the phone with a friend who was telling me about some books she read on sleeping and how if children do not get enough sleep during the day, they won't sleep well at night and so on. I already new this to an extent but it made me more aware of what is going on with Dominick. He is tired during the day and must nap. So when I got off the phone Dominick was being Mr. Cranky Pants and I stuck him in his bed with a bottle. He screamed, of course, and didn't want the bottle, but shortly after I walked out of his room, he stopped crying. I peeked in and he was drinking his bottle and now he's sleeping. WOW, that was easy!!!!

Dominick has been sick with a cold so I finally took him to the doctor Thursday and the cold wasn't too bad but he said that half on his ear canal was filled with puss-YUCK! Poor baby, he wasn't even pulling at his ear. Anyway, he's on antibiotics and feeling a little better.

I met my best friend, Dominick Nanny, at a zoo yesterday and we had a lot of fun. By the way, this friend of mine has triplets and everywhere she goes people make the most rude, stupid comments to her. Some strangers even have the nerve to ask her if she was on fertility drugs! So next time you see someone with twins or more, consider ignoring them and not making a comment, it is really aggravating to those parents. If you MUST make a comment, just say "Awww, your babies are so cute". Don't say "You really have your hands full".

I think this is the sweetest picture. Mickey (dog) is laying on a pillow on the sofa and Dominick went up to him and laid his head down for s brief second. I was AWWWW, so Dominick kept doing it. And yes, we do keep a pillow on the sofa for the dogs because they love people pillows and we loooove our fur-babies.

Dominick's first trip to the zoo. And there will be many more because we live 10 minutes from a zoo and I'm getting a family membership.

Dominick pointing to a duck at the zoo. He couldn't see all the animals because he was too low in his stroller or they were too far away, but when he did see them he got soooo excited.

Dominick was watching the monkeys playing.

Two of the triplets and Dominick at the zoo. Check out how small their Momma is after giving birth to triplets. You go girl!!!

One of my friend's babies, Adam, saying "What's up"!!!!
