Mine, Mine, Mine

After spending the weekend with his 3 year old cousin, Little Man will not stop saying "Mine" about everything. He was already saying it every now and then, but now he thinks it is the coolest game...so aggravating!

Here is Little Man on his way out the door to go to school (daycare) to see his

"girlfriend" Hannah. He looked so cute I had to take a few pictures.

Maw Maw & Paw Paw's House

We went to my parents' house to see my 2 nieces I hadn't seen in over a year. Almost all of us ended up sick and feeling totally yucky and it was so cold and wet the kiddos didn't get to go outside and play so our weekend wasn't as fun as it could have been for the kiddos. They are coming to visit us in a few weeks so we are crossing our fingers that the weather will be awesome and everyone will be feeling well so they can play outside with all their cool toys and we can go to the zoo, which is one of Dominick's favorite places.

We celebrated my niece/Godchild's 3rd birthday. The kids had fun despite the circumstances of the weather and runny noses. Thank God my fabulous mother was smart enough to buy and wrap a bunch of gifts for Little Man to unwrap also. Smart thinking Mom!!!

Of course we had to light some candles for Dominick (a.k.a. pyromaniac) to blow out along with B-day Girl. The child loves fire...scary!

Busted!!! I walked into the kitchen and caught Paw Paw playing with one of B-day girl's toys all by himself. He hung her little dart board on the cabinets and was throwing the Velcro balls at it. Have you ever heard that saying "Men never grow up!"? It is soooo true.

This is a video of the B-day Girl and Dominick playing their harmonicas (one of their gifts).

Daddy's LIttle Helper

Dominick is ALL BOY! It is so cute how much he loves to "help" his Daddy hammer or use a screw driver. He also loves to fill his tiny pockets with rocks...so cute!!! It's so amazing and cute how boys are just boys. You don't teach them to like rocks and tools, they just naturally like that kind of stuff...at least our Little Man does. He was SO excited tonight when we got a package and opened it and he saw screws in it. He insisted on getting a screw driver and "helping" Jon put together the Doggie Dooley, even though we had no intentions on putting it together tonight. Too bad for us, The Boss said it must be done NOW. The Doggie Dooley is a septic tank thingy you burry in the ground and put dog doo-doo in so that we don't have to keep throwing our 2 fur-babies doggie doo-doo into the field behind our house. Now that our puppies have their own potty I need to teach Little Man how to scoop the poop and put it in the Doggie Dooley...Just Joking!!!

Then we told Little Man that this was where Mickey and Gizmo are going to "poo-poo" and he said "NO, Baby poo-poo on toilet" and insisted on sitting on it. Silly boy!

By the way, this will be buried in our yard, not sitting on top of the ground.

Behavior is MUCH, MUCH better!

A few days after my last post I went to the book store and bought several books on toddlers and discipline. I love reading, especially anything that has to do with children and the way their little minds operate. I loved all the child psychology type classes I had to take in college. Anyway, after reading a lot of the info from the books, I've made a few changes in the way I approach discipline and they way I speak to Dominick and it has truly made a world of difference in his behavior. I think I was being way to hard on him before and I have a whole new attitude about his little personality now. I'm sure he will test my patience and things will not always go smoothly with discipline, but for now it is SO MUCH BETTER and that makes us both so much happier!!! He is such a sweet, perfect child...in my eyes at least.

Dominick loves playing with Play-Dough (sp?). His favorite thing to do is cut it with scissors.

It was nice and warm this past weekend so we spent a lot of time playing outside; writing with chalk, playing soccer, running up and down the street, blowing bubbles, swinging, etc. By the way, Dominick can draw a straight line or circle if you ask him to.

This is one of Dominick's favorite things to do...play with his Geo Track train set. He absolutely loves this thing!

These are pictures of my precious Little Man on his actual 2nd b-day (even though we celebrated it twice on days before his b-day). We went to a party and popped fireworks on his actual b-day and he loved it.
These are his new Blow Fish shoes. They're much cuter in person. They are raggedy looking with strings hanging off all the seems.
And these are his new Converse shoes. I love buying him shoes...I try to make sure they are comfortable but I won't let him wear the thick-soled running type shoes. He just doesn't look good in those for some reason.
Hope you all have a good week and a wonderful New Year!
