Mother's Day, Sleeping and Swimming

Dominick goofing off with his cousin at our Mother's Day dinner.

Dominick insists on sleeping with a ton of toys each night. We go into his room and take the toys out of his bed after he falls asleep so that he can be comfortable and not roll on all of them. The problem is that is we do take the toys out, he usually will wake up some time in the middle of the night crying and when we go in to see what is wrong, he is mad that we had the nerve to take his precious toys out of his bed, and he insists on us putting them back in.

Dominick's new pool. How sad, this is the largest pool that can fit into our backyard. I've always loved swimming and grew up spending my summer's at the beach and the neighborhood pool. We decided last summer that we'd start saving to put a pool in the backyard even though it is an extremely small yard. But after talking to 3 different pool companies, we found out that it can not be done. There is a city ordinance that a pool has to be 5 feet away from all property lines as well as the house. That would leave us with a pool so narrow that it can't be done. Crazy huh?!? Oh well, this won't be our last house so there's always the chance of a "real" pool at our future house, lol.

Look how wide (or narrow) our yard is!!!
