DAY # 6 in GUATEMALA

Dominick has cut ANOTHER tooth, that makes 8!

We went to Lake Atitlan and a Mayan Village and Mayan Market yesterday. I will try to explain more details about it when I get home. It was unbelievable to see the way these people live their daily lives. Not that there is anything wrong with it, it is just so different than anything I had ever seen. They all dress in Mayan clothing on a daily basis, they walk miles and miles to get to the market, and they work so hard.

Today we went on a tour of Antigua which was awesome as well. Guatemala is an extremely Catholic country and we got to see many, many Catholic churches through out the country, some of them dating back to the fifteen hundreds. We have bought tons of souvenirs which will hopefully be special to Dominick as he grows older.

I'm ready to go home but also wish I could stay here and see more...there is just so much to see and it is so beautiful. We are exhausted, yesterday and today we were on tours from 6 am to 7 pm.

This site isn't letting me post any more pictures, I'll try to post more tomorrow.

This was in Antigua from around the 1500's, and the cracks are from a major earthquake which destroyed to city.
