DAY 4 IN GUATEMALA

We are having a great time. We went on a tour of Guatemala City today and got to see a lot of the city and we got a lot of information on Dominick's birth city. We took a tour of the Presidential Palace and a really awesome cathedral. We also got to see both the wealthy section of town and the very poor section. We also ended up seeing a parade which consisted of 2 schools marching bands. They were carrying a statue of a sacred Virgin which was being moved from one cathedral to another. Apparently this is very common in Guatemala.

By the way, Dominick is 9 months, weighs 21 pounds, and has 7 teeth. I' m not sure of his height. The Embassy didn't give me his health card back, hopefully I'll get it back after going through customs.

This is the sacred virgin statue they are carrying and 2 marching bands are behind them.

The Presidential Palace

Jonathan looks mad or sad, but he's not.

This is a very poor section of town.

Hi, Lynn:
This is Dee's friend at work, Laurie. This is my first time at this site, and I think it is great!! Congratulations on your beautiful little Dominick. God has truly blessed you and your family!! He's a healthy baby boy, and you should be very proud. I'm glad your day has finally come. Your mom has filled us in on every little detail. We all feel like we know you, although we've never met. Maybe someday... I'm glad everything is going great!! Love to all.. Laurie
